finally done...finally free....uh oh.

This past week has been somewhat of a crazy time.  On Monday, I recieved word that I'll be getting an offer for a job in Calgary which by itself is pretty damn exciting.  That same day we recieved our marks back on our design project.  We got an unbelieveable A+.

On Wednesday, I took my last final exam of my undergraduate degree (522, oil sands upgrading).  That test didn't actually go very well I think, hopefully enough to pass.  The other interesting thing is that I also took my first trip ever to a gun range with some engineering pals.  It was an interesting experience to say the least but one I won't soon forget.  There's something very visceral (and LOUD) about firing a rifle.  I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get to fire a pistol but hey, rifles are pretty neat too.  What was especially neat about them is that they were old school (think World War 2 style) rifles.

Thursday consisted of getting a LONG overdue haircut.  In the evening I went to a little engineering BBQ send off which was a lot of fun.  Celebrating "the end" is pretty interesting and, I will admit, a little scary.  What will the future hold for all of us and where will we all end up?  When's the next time I'll see these people?  Well, that last one is pretty easy because that would be tomorrow, but still.  After that, it may be months before I see the people I'm used to seeing on a daily basis.

Truly, it's an exciting time.  I just have to make sure I keep myself grounded and not overwhelmed with all the possibilities ahead.
